So, what's the story behind "Universe at War: Earth Assault"? Pretty graphics, yes, but does the storyline make it worth anything more than eye candy?

The story's something like this...
It's 2012.
The ET fellas - the Hierachy - you see in the screenshots invade Earth, and wipes out most human resistance without breaking a sweat. Sure, there are some victories for Earthen forces here and there, but they're small and few to begin with.
Just as they are about to exterminate the remnants of Humankind, another alien faction known as the Novus opens a second front with the Hierachy on Earth. The developers are saying that Humanity would be getting some serious 'retro-engineered' toys later ingame, but that's up to how you play the campaign.
That's about the gist of it for now.
