When the Great War broke out problems between Austria-Hungary and Italy gave Italy a way to not go to war. Imagine more successful German diplomacy. Austria quickly agrees to some of Italy's demands and Italy is not successfully enticed by the Entente. As IOTL, the Ottoman Empire in 1914 and Bulgaria in 1915 all with Germany. In 1916 Romania enters the war allied with Russia. ITTL, the war will end in early 1917 just before the Russian Revolution.
