The fallout from a much larger Operation Himmler

What would be the fallout if Operation Himmler had been massively expanded to include gas attacks on German villages in Eastern Germany as well as large scale attacks on several towns in Eastern German villages by masked SS troops in Polish Army uniforms and several SS planted bombings in Berlin of markets?

...would they have carried out such attacks on other Germans? Not sure how likely it would be.

Anyway, supposing it did happen, I imagine that once it became known there would be serious consequences. Very soon afterwards and we may see the Army turn against the SS. Himmler would probably be scapegoated by Hitler.

If it came out after the war then it is possible that the distinction between German and Nazi becomes clearer quicker and that there would be more sympathy for the German people.

It's fairly unlikely to happen though (in my opinion of course.)

They could have found them, but Himmler would have had to have made sure none of the people doing it had family ties in the areas in question. IE using SS from Austria to carry out the attacks.
