The Department of the Army award contract for the construction of 6 Xp-40 and 6 Xp-43 fighter aircraft after testing the Army would recommend the purchase of the aircraft chosen. The number would be 250-300 fighters.The Department of the Army increased to order for the P-43 to a total of 27 aircraft before cancelling any further purchases in favor of the P-40.

The American Secretary of State was sent down to Mexico to meet with the parties and hammer out a cease fire leading to the end of conflict between the Mexican Government and the Rebel forces. The President was tired of the chaos that was ongoing in the region and hoped that he could finally get the parties to settle down and coexist.
The President was scheduled to meet with the Hawaiian Prime Minister and deal with some of the issues that had developed as a result of the American base on Truk Island.

The American President was talking about moving to new technology such as planes to replace airships. The US had begun to embrace planes for its military.
He had moved to establish better relations with his neighbors to the south. America had helped to defuse the tensions between Mexico and the three countries that had broken away from Mexico. Tensions between the Commonwealth of Sonora and Mexico had eased to the point that trade had begun between the two and travel restrictions
were being eased. The Mayan Kingdom however was still closing its border to Mexico
