How might things develop if Margaret the maid of Norway survives and marries Edward the 3rd as planned? Could this lead to a union of England and Scotland? How might this effect the history of the two countries?

Edward I planned to marry her to his eldeset son who would become Edward II. Its clear that Margaret was to be Queen and Edward to be regarded as King of Scotland.
