The Romans have scored a decisive victory at Carrhae against the Parthians.
Taking into account the decisive Roman victory over the Parthians at Carrhae, and a long Roman presence in the lands between the Tigris and the Euphrates here is your challenge:
You are to choose one (or more) of the following:
- A close-up map of the Middle East 500 years later, with at least 3 states that are not large empires present
- An anachronistic map showing territorial changes in the empire after 500 years (one caveat: the cohesive Roman Empire must fall at some point before the 500 year anniversary of the victory at Carrhae; Byzantine-like successor empires are acceptable and encouraged) - You can if you'd like only concentrate on the eastern part of the empire instead of the whole empire, but as usual the closer you get on a map the more details there had better be.
- A map of the religions in within what would have been the Roman Empire 1,000 years later
You have one week.
Remember ask any questions in the Discussion Thread.
Best of luck to all the contestants,
Chief Judge SK
