I'm just coming up against one of my favourite AH Cliches for British-dominated TLs again, the near-universal prevalence of Afro-Caribbean culture in entertainment and popular music. Realistically, of course, even this is a fairly unlikely development. But how do we get a broader mass appeal to Anglo-Caribbean culture? A greater political role for Caribbean nations? A major Rastafarian presence in the Council of World Religions? Steel drums in military marching bands?
Any ideas?
(I'm puttiong this here because the outcome is solidly 20th century, but PODs before 1900 are as welcome as after. Personally, I'd prefer it to be done without British Galactic Empire Uberwank)
