So I've finished my first complete playthrough. I was playing as the United States and the year is 1923. I know there is time left, but with the world in its current state I think is the best time. The Fifth Great War has just ended (the first three occured at the same time.) It pitted the absolute monarchies in the Russian Empire and the German Empire, and my democratic United States against the combined power of communist Great Britain, absolute monarchy Hungary, democratic Scandinavia, Fascist France, and the collapsing Ottoman Empire (the only one which wasn't a Great Power.)
The war started in early 1919 and ended on November 2, 1923. The war ended with basically every power on the losing side being dismantled. Iceland and Greenland were annexed by the United States. The UK was forced to surrender independence to Scotland and Australia. France lost its remaining territory in India (though technically it lost them in a seperate war against independent India, but they couldn't move soldiers to actually fight back). Hungary surrendered much of its northern territory and Romania. The Ottomans were forced to give up Bulgaria (the war started because Russia wanted it independent, though it wasn't a crisis war), which meant each peace was seperate. The UK dropped out first, with the entirety of Britain occupied. That removed the Royal Navy from the war, leaving the Scandinavian Navy to be swept from the ocean. With much of their territory occupied and the Baltic lost Scandinavia gave up next. The French followed suit as their military was essentially gone by that point and their nation occupied as well. Hungary kept going for another six months, but ultimately collapsed as German and Russian troops overran the country.
The United States is a grand empire of liberty with all reforms completed which stretches from Alaska to Chile (the southern end). All of North America, Central America, and most of northern South America is pacified, with cores on most of the territory at this point. Uruguay and Brazil were the most recent areas taken (Brazil retains a small section of territory along the coast) and recently attempted to revolt. Canada was in my sphere until recently, Argentina is still in my sphere, and Brazil is hoping we don't decide to take more of the country.

Germany is basically Germany+Austria. France is relatively intact. Russia stretches from Poland-Lithuania (which became independent during the late 19th century after it failed a War of Containment against me) to the end of Siberia. It also has sphered most of China and is slowly getting around to taking over the various smaller central Asian nations it borders. The UK retains an Empire in North Africa, but has lost everything else. Scandinavia is down to just Sweden and Denmark. Italy has been dismantled, holding only sections of southern Italy and part of France. Sardinia Piedmont and the Kingdom of Two Sicilies are both independent.
