President Alexander M. Haig

Alexander Meigs Haig, Jr. has served as White House Chief of Staff, Supreme Commander of NATO Forces in Europe, and as Secretary of State. By normal standards, that is an impressive resume to have if you would like to become President. In 1988, Haig lost the Republican nomination to George Bush, the eventual winner.

How could Haig have been elected President (in 1988 or any other time)? How would he have handled the position? If elected in 1988, how would Haig have handled the Gulf War? Would he have been reelected? You know the drill...

You have to go further back than losing the '88 nomination. You have to get rid of that whole "I'm i charge here" thing when Reagan got shot, which IMO pretty much ruined any political future he had, even tho I personally don't read as much conspiracy theory into his actions as some people do.

Although I DO find him a pretty creepy guy apart from that. :D
